Windsor Vacuum Filters

Windsor's industry-standard line of commercial upright vacuums are available with high efficiency filters and HEPA filters. Models such as the Windsor Sensor, Versamatic Axcess, Chariot iVacuum, and NuWave wide area vacuums work to promote indoor air quality.

Changing the filters on your Windsor vacuum is important for normal operation. Some vacuums require a pre-motor filter that prevents larger debris from passing into the motor in case the vacuum bag ruptures. Depending on use, this filter should be changed anywhere from every 60 days (commercial use) to one year (standard household use).

Exhaust filters remove fine particles from the air as it exits your vacuum, preventing impurities from returning to your environment. Changing this filter every 90 days is recommended with commercial use, or every 6 months for regular household use. Some exhaust filters can be rinsed between replacements to maintain peak performance of the vacuum. In this case, filters must be allowed to dry thoroughly before re-installing, and should still be replaced on schedule.

Some Genuine Windsor Vacuum Filters are labeled “Hospital Grade” or “S-Class” filters. “S-Class” is a European standard equivalent to HEPA standards. These filters offer electrostatic filter material and increased surface area to trap 99.97% of microscopic particles as small as 0.3 microns. S-Class or HEPA filtration will result in more efficient filtering of dander, pollen, mold spores and other allergens, and are ideal for households that suffer from asthma or allergies.

For those with pets, Windsor also offers charcoal microfilters that absorb odors while vacuuming.
